  • Gray Benoist

    — Principal

    After retiring as the CFO of Belden Inc., Gray is now focusing his energy on supporting the MindSpark mission that all individuals deserve the opportunity for gainful employment. Gray has an MBA from the University of Chicago, 33 years of finance and general business work experience, and he currently serves on the Boards of Olin Corp, a NYSE chemical company, and Exceptional Minds, a Sherman Oaks non-profit organization offering vocational training in the digital arts to young adults on the autism spectrum.

  • Rebecca Beam

    — Managing Director

    Rebecca has more than 20 years of experience in Technology Staffing and Consulting Services. She has been a part of MindSpark, Inc. since its inception acting as an Advisory Board Member. Her success is a result of her true dedication to building strong, honest and meaningful relationships with companies and employees, alike. She truly believes there is an opportunity for everyone who has the drive, skills and talent for technology.

  • Erik

    — Director of Operations

    Erik has been in the Software Development industry for over 18 years, with expertise in desktop, web, and mobile testing, team leadership, and agile project management. Erik is proud to be a part of the MindSpark team and enjoys the opportunity to impart his software testing knowledge and experience to a group of testers new to the field of software development.

  • Isha

    — Director of Operations

    Isha is responsible for day to day leadership and general management of the company. She has been successful in leading projects for Media-Entertainment, Solar Energy, Personal Insurance and Bio-Medical companies by providing technical leadership along with both a strong attention to detail as well as excellent communication. Isha has a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Engineering and is extremely proud to be a part of MindSpark.

  • Jorge

    — Software Testing Lead

    Jorge is a Los Angeles native that has over 9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Prior to joining MindSpark, he was training and leading a team of testers for one of the world’s top entertainment studios. Jorge is continuing to expand his knowledge in order to match the ever-growing industry of software testing. He is proud to be part of the MindSpark family and hopes to help MindSpark continue to grow.

  • Musha

    — Software Testing Lead

    Musha is a software testing lead with 7 years of QA and software engineering experience and has applied this knowledge across various industries. His specialization in automation has been applied to numerous business fields that include finance, healthcare, and IT services. His primary focus centers around leading test automation development. His technical expertise includes Selenium, JIRA, Bamboo, Zephyr, Cucumber, Java, SQL, HTML, XML, and Oracle among other fields of knowledge. In his free time, he enjoys studying human computer interfaces and the psychology of human/computer interactions.

  • Sabina

    — Software Testing Lead

    Sabina is a software testing lead with 10 years in the software development industry.
    She has extensive experience in leading QA teams and working with business users. She is highly motivated, detail oriented and a good team player.
    Sabina is excited to join the team and would like to take this opportunity to learn and grow along with the Mindspark family.

  • Eddy

    — QA Automation Engineer

    Eddy has been working in Systems, Networking and Software for over 20 years. He enjoys traveling, eating weird food, working with technology and is currently learning to play jazz guitar. His most recent passion is learning more about Artificial Intelligence and its applications. Eddy feels lucky to be working among the best people here at MindSpark.


  • Brad

    — Sr. Software Testing Analyst

    Brad has been an employee of MindSpark for the past few years and is a graduate of Santa Monica College, Loyola Marymount University, and the New School of Cooking. At Santa Monica College, he majored in Liberal Arts and General Science, both of them with Honors. At Loyola Marymount University, he majored in English and minored in History and Natural Science. Tapping into his interest in writing, he has written a script that is currently going through the production process as an independent film. In addition to his daily tasks, he assists his fellow analysts when they ask for help and helps out the leads. He’s also interested in traveling in order to visit other parts of the world to learn about differing cultures.

  • Rohan

    — Sr. Software Testing Analyst

    Rohan was a part of one of the early MTA classes and has been with MindSpark for over 3 years. During this time, he spent a year focusing on software development, API automation, and unit testing for Square One Solutions (Optimity Advisors). He has earned two bachelor degrees, one in Computer Science from Cal State Long Beach and the other in Linguistics from UC Riverside. In addition to knowing a variety of programming languages, such as C#, Java, and C++, he studies Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, and some Russian. In his spare time, he enjoys climbing the Culver City Stairs, reading, and playing the occasional game of bridge. He is also very excited about the direction that the industry is going, and is eager to further broaden his knowledge base.

  • Evan R.

    — Software Testing Analyst II

    Evan R. is a graduate of Cal State Northridge’s film school. Some of his interests include going to the movies, being a tech enthusiast, listening to podcasts, playing board or card games, playing retro video games, and watching sports. His interests in technology have helped inspire him to gain new skills and become a thorough quality assurance tester. He enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to the development effort, especially after finding new defects. Evan finds MindSpark to be an accommodating, friendly environment, and gets along very well with his coworkers. His previous experience as an Eagle Scout has helped him when faced with challenges and to properly plan when tackling new testing efforts.

  • Kayla

    — Software Testing Analyst II

    Kayla earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Villanova University, and because of her love of mathematics, went on to start her masters degree in Operations Research / Industrial Engineering from Columbia University’s Fu Foundation Graduate School of Engineering. She has worked as a healthcare professional which included the creation of one of the first databases of ICD9 codes for 600+ hospitals. With her knowledge of various programming languages (C++, Java, Fortran, Basic, Python, SQL, etc), she enjoys delving into software looking for defects. In her spare time, Kayla’s creative side is showcased as an avid do-it-yourselfer, always looking forward to learning a new skill set, and of course adding to her collection of “cool tools.”

  • Michael

    — Software Testing Analyst II

    Michael is very passionate about video games. He enjoys everything from open world role playing games to fast-paced competitive action games. Michael has a natural curiosity, which has led to a deep interest in physics and has also contributed to his natural tester intuition, something that is very useful as a QA analyst. He is a very skilled typist, typing well over 100 WPM on the Dvorak keyboard layout. “At Mindspark, I like that there is mutual cooperation between the analysts and the higher-ups. I feel like my opinion is always taken seriously.”

  • Alex

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Alex attended California State University, Northridge where he spent his time studying Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. He has also spent time over the years working in the technical theatre which was both paid and volunteer. This time in the technical theatre involved him being a stage hand, a stage manager, and a production technician. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games and reading fan fiction. He also has an interest in robotics as seen by him being on the robotics team while in high school. He is a graduate of MTA 9 and now at MindSpark, he is excited to have found a position that he not only enjoys but looks forward to as a career.

  • Andrew

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Andrew is a graduate of the UCLA Pathway program in 2012 and the writers program from UCLA Extension in 2015. He is interested in working with computers and learning more about the software development life cycle, test automation, and testing terminology as well as learning how to use Linux. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys listening to independent music, collecting vintage video games, and watching horror, fantasy, and sci-fi movies. He also has an interest in writing.

  • Ariel

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Ariel is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. She graduated from the MindSpark Training Academy in June 2016 with a certificate and has been working at MindSpark ever since. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, listening to music, watching TV shows (mostly cartoons) and movies, and reading books. As an aspiring writer, she strives to hone her craft as a novelist and essayist and has participated in Writing Workshops and Online Writing classes as well. “In working at MindSpark, I am learning the necessary skills needed for both my work life and my social life.”

  • Brian

    — Software Testing Analyst

    A social minded individual, Brian has engaged in a lot of volunteering activities in the past. This includes volunteering at the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and a kids gym known as “We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym” found in Santa Monica. In addition to this, he is an avid cyclist as seen with the fact that he bikes to and from work every day. In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing video games and going to karaoke bars with his friends. His dream is to someday bike across Germany or the UK. “I love working at MindSpark and love the work environment they have created for me.”

  • Cary

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Cary graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Art. His art background can be seen with his skills in ink, acrylic, markers, pencil, as well as colored pencil, and would like to use these skills to become a comic book creator. With his interest in technology, he is curious how it is constantly evolving and how it consistently changing and shaping our lives. Cary is interested in working for MindSpark in order for him to build upon his skill set and learn more about various software applications that are used by different businesses. In his spare time, Cary enjoys exercising, music, video games, and analyzing stories in different mediums.

  • Dennis

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Dennis refers to himself as a perpetual student because he enjoys learning and meeting new people. He is a DEEP person and his interests are deep: Chess, Computers, Handicapping Horses (he’s a 2 dollar bettor and loves analyzing data from the Racing Form), Mysteries, Stand Up and Acting, Psychology and of course DEEP sea fishing.

  • Evan H.

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Evan H. is a graduate of the MTA program and joined MindSpark in August of 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games and how players interact with the games environment. In addition to this, he enjoys finding glitches within the games he plays so that he can take advantage of the situation. He carries this trait over to his work at MindSpark in order to help him find defects within the software that he is currently testing. At the moment, he is also a student at Santa Monica College where he is pursuing a career in game design.

  • Greg

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Greg has been with MindSpark for over four years and is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he majored in Public Health and Anthropology. He is also a graduate of the MindSpark Training Academy where he earned his Certificate of Achievement in Software Testing. He also earned his ISTQB certificate. In his spare time, Greg volunteers at the La Brea Tar Pits, runs marathons, and bakes. At the moment, he is learning HTML and other web development tools in order to further his technical understanding.

  • James

    — Software Testing Analyst

    James is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. While at LMU, he was involved in a number of different clubs that focused on things such as social justice and engaging in volunteer activities. After he graduated from LMU, he attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was a part of the graduate program, again focusing on mathematics. While at UCSB, he tutored his fellow students, led discussions regarding calculus, and assisted in other first-year math classes.

  • Joshua

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Joshua graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors in Physics and from UCSD with a Masters in Nanoengineering. He loves learning about computer testing and nanotechnology discoveries. In his spare time, he likes to play strategy games and discuss movie genres or current events. He is proficient in Matlab, Java, and C++ as well as some experience with Mathematica.

  • Justin

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Justin is a graduate of Emerson College where he earned his BA in screenwriting. With this knowledge and understanding of both film and television, it led him to a job in the film industry as a development assistant. All of this helped him to develop an eye for detail when it comes to spelling, grammar, and accuracy which eventually helped him to land a job as a medical text editor. As time progressed, combined with his interest in technology, eventually led him to the world of quality assurance where he can combine his training and critical eye to find areas of improvement and web design. Some of his interests include music, urban history, writing, and role-playing games.

  • Kevin

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Kevin is a graduate of California Lutheran University of Thousand Oaks with a Computer Science Degree. He has been with MindSpark for over a year and has worked on a number of different projects which has allowed him to develop valuable software testing skills. He was an Eagle Scout and his interests include hiking, gaming, and reading. He also has some programming experience having been taught Java, and learning C++ on his own.

  • Max G.

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Max is a detail oriented individual who is proficient at locating and identifying variations in patterns. He is capable of using this to his advantage by applying this to quality assurance testing here at MindSpark. He also has experience performing in front of a live audience, relying upon his training as a vocalist and as a stand-up comedian to do so. In his free time Max enjoys playing video games, particularly fighting and real-time strategy games, as well as learning about different facets of history.

  • Max P.

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Max is among the first graduates of the MindSpark Training academy and enjoys working at MindSpark. He particularly enjoys testing the software applications for bugs and writing up bug reports. He is also an avid fan of comic books with his favorite superhero being Captain America. He also enjoys drawing in his spare time. “I enjoy working with my coworkers, the different types of contracts we endeavor, and coming into work and working really hard to the best of my ability.”

  • Robert

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Robert is a graduate of California State University, Northridge where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Physics and was awarded the John W. Nagle Outstanding Senior Award. He is also a graduate of MindSpark Training Academy 9 in December of 2017 and has been working for MindSpark ever since. With his previous experience that he brings to the company, it includes programming knowledge with Ruby, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. Some of his interests include hiking, skiing, movies, and music. His interest in music can be seen with his experience playing the trumpet and cello.

  • Will

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Will is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, Pomona with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Computer Science. He spent several years in a variety of different vocations that includes being a door-to-door salesman, a carpet cleaner, a food service worker at an amusement park, and a respite caregiver for his younger brother. He did all of this while juggling his duties as an IT administrator for a Great Clips franchisee. Now at MindSpark, he has finally found a position that he truly enjoys and he is excited to develop his skills in his new career.

  • Gray, Jr.

    — Assistant Treasurer

    Gray has a B.A. degree in Mathematics from Lake Forest College in Illinois and is an experienced Math tutor. He completed the MindSpark Training Academy and has been with the company since the beginning. He is interested in improv and performs at the Westside Comedy theater.

  • Nathaniel

    — IT Specialist

    Nathaniel has a B.A. in Radio and Television Broadcasting from St. Ambrose University, where his studies included; the mass media, advertising, journalism, public relations, and ethics. He has a fascination with news and how it is covered by different sources, and a deep appreciation for particularly effective television advertisements. He has written advertisements for a commercial radio station, worked as a cameraman for a commercial television station, and has volunteer experience as a cat specialist for an animal rescue organization. He started off as a Quality Assurance Tester and has since transitioned to IT Specialist.

  • Noah

    — IT Specialist

    Noah attended the first MindSpark training academy and handles IT administration for MindSpark. In his spare time, he enjoys all things trains, from models to full-scale, and also tests beta software.  He has two pet bunnies named Q-tip and Bailey.
