  • Gray Benoist

    — President

    After retiring as the CFO of Belden Inc., Gray is now focusing his energy on supporting the MindSpark mission that all individuals deserve the opportunity for gainful employment. Gray has an MBA from the University of Chicago, 33 years of finance and general business work experience, and he currently serves on the Boards of Olin Corp, a NYSE chemical company, and Exceptional Minds, a Sherman Oaks non-profit organization offering vocational training in the digital arts to young adults on the autism spectrum.

  • Erik

    — Director of Operations

    Erik has been in the Software Development industry for over 17 years, with expertise in desktop, web, and mobile testing, team leadership, and agile project management. Erik is proud to be a part of the MindSpark team and enjoys the opportunity to impart his software testing knowledge and experience to a group of testers new to the field of software development.

  • Isha

    — Director of Operations

    Isha has over 11 years of experience in research, business analysis, training, consulting, and software quality assurance. She has worked on projects for media-entertainment, solar energy, insurance, and bio-medical companies. Isha earned her master’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Currently, she is working on multiple projects in diversified domains for MindSpark.

  • Jorge

    — Software Testing Lead

    Jorge is a Los Angeles native that has over 9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Prior to joining MindSpark, he was training and leading a team of testers for one of the world’s top entertainment studios. Jorge is continuing to expand his knowledge in order to match the ever-growing industry of software testing. He is proud to be part of the MindSpark family and hopes to help MindSpark continue to grow.

  • Prabuddha

    – Software Testing Lead

    Prabuddha is a quality assurance professional with experience working on projects pertaining to logistics, retail, healthcare, and insurance. He has been directly involved with various facets of software testing including functional, automation, performance, network, and backend testing. He has an engineering degree from Louisiana Tech University. On his downtime, he enjoys travelling, gaming, and learning about new developments in science and technology.

  • Ryan (RJ)

    – Software Testing Lead

    RJ has over 12 years’ worth of experience in various levels of quality assurance testing. His previous roles include security testing and as QA manager for industry leading social networking and entertainment companies. With this experience, he has gained skills in everything from virtual reality game testing to API automation. He studied Game Art and Design and has written a novel which he self-published. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing games, and listening to Celtic music. He is overjoyed to be working with the MindSpark analysts and to have the unique opportunity to be able to help broaden their skill sets.

  • Brad

    — Sr. Software Testing Analyst

    Brad has been an employee of MindSpark for the past few years and is a graduate of Santa Monica College, Loyola Marymount University, and the New School of Cooking. At Santa Monica College, he majored in Liberal Arts and General Science, both of them with Honors. At Loyola Marymount University, he majored in English and minored in History and Natural Science. Tapping into his interest in writing, he has written a script that is currently going through the production process as an independent film. In addition to his daily tasks, he assists his fellow analysts when they ask for help and helps out the leads. He’s also interested in traveling in order to visit other parts of the world to learn about differing cultures.

  • Rohan

    — Sr. Software Testing Analyst

    Rohan was a part of one of the early MTA classes and has been with MindSpark for over 3 years. During this time, he spent a year focusing on software development, API automation, and unit testing for Square One Solutions. He has earned two bachelor degrees, one in Computer Science from Cal State Long Beach and the other in Linguistics from UC Riverside. In addition to knowing a variety of programming languages, such as C#, Java, and C++, he studies Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, and some Russian. In his spare time, he enjoys climbing the Culver City Stairs, reading, and playing the occasional game of bridge. He is also very excited about the direction that the industry is going, and is eager to further broaden his knowledge base.

  • Andrew

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Andrew is a graduate of the UCLA Pathway program in 2012 and the writers program from UCLA Extension in 2015. He is interested in working with computers and learning more about the software development life cycle, test automation, and testing terminology as well as learning how to use Linux. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys listening to independent music, collecting vintage video games, and watching horror, fantasy, and sci-fi movies. He also has an interest in writing.

  • Brian

    — Software Testing Analyst

    A social minded individual, Brian has engaged in a lot of volunteering activities in the past. This includes volunteering at the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and a kids gym known as “We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym” found in Santa Monica. In addition to this, he is an avid cyclist as seen with the fact that he bikes to and from work every day. In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing video games and going to karaoke bars with his friends. His dream is to someday bike across Germany or the UK. “I love working at MindSpark and love the work environment they have created for me.”

  • Cary

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Cary graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Art. His art background can be seen with his skills in ink, acrylic, markers, pencil, as well as color pencil, and would like to use these skills to become a comic book creator. With his interest in technology, he is curious how it is constantly evolving and how it consistently changing and shaping our lives. Cary is interested in working for MindSpark in order for him to build upon his skill set and learn more about various software applications that are used by different businesses. In his spare time, Cary enjoys exercising, music, video games, and analyzing stories in different mediums.

  • Corey

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Corey earned his bachelors in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and Los Angeles Valley where he graduated cum laude from both institutions. While in college, he was the treasurer of the Valley College Psychology Club and the CSUN Northridge Anime Club. He has been with MindSpark since late 2014 and focuses on defect verification as well as writing test cases from development stories. He is a fast learner who is able to adapt quickly to new situations. In addition to this, he is constantly trying to improve his abilities as a software tester. He is interested in cats, watching anime, reading manga, and spending time with friends.

  • Dennis

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Dennis refers to himself as a perpetual student because he enjoys learning and meeting new people. He is a DEEP person and his interests are deep: Chess, Computers, Handicapping Horses (he’s a 2 dollar bettor and loves analyzing data from the Racing Form), Mysteries, Stand Up and Acting, Psychology and of course DEEP sea fishing.

  • Diana

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Diana is a graduate of the MindSpark Training Academy with a Certificate of Achievement in Software Testing. She also earned her BA in Sociology and Spanish from Cal State Long Beach. She has always had an interest in both computers and technology. This can be seen with the fact that she is an open source contributor with skills in Linux Virtual Machines, C++, and Python. In her spare time, she enjoys running and playing with her dogs. She has also volunteered at the VA in Long Beach.

  • Evan H.

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Evan H. is a graduate of the MTA program and joined MindSpark in August of 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games and how players interact with the games environment. In addition to this, he enjoys finding glitches within the games he plays so that he can take advantage of the situation. He carries this trait over to his work at MindSpark in order to help him find defects within the software that he is currently testing. At the moment, he is also a student at Santa Monica College where he is pursuing a career in game design.

  • Evan R.

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Evan R. is a graduate of Cal State Northridge’s film school. With some of his interests, they include being a cinephile, being a tech enthusiast, listening to podcasts, playing board or card games, playing retro video games, going to concerts, and is a fan of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. His favorite TV show is “The Big Bang Theory” while his favorite movie is “Back to the Future.” In his free time, Evan writes for the geek/pop culture centric website

  • Greg

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Greg has been with MindSpark for over four years and is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he majored in Public Health and Anthropology. He is also a graduate of the MindSpark Training Academy where he earned his Certificate of Achievement in Software Testing. He also earned his ISTQB certificate. In his spare time, Greg volunteers at the La Brea Tar Pits, runs marathons, and bakes. At the moment, he is learning HTML and other web development tools in order to further his technical understanding.

  • James

    — Software Testing Analyst

    James is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. While at LMU, he was involved in a number of different clubs that focused on things such as social justice and engaging in volunteer activities. After he graduated from LMU, he attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was a part of the graduate program, again focusing on mathematics. While at UCSB, he tutored his fellow students, led discussions regarding calculus, and assisted in other first-year math classes.

  • Jason

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Jason has a BA with a triple major in International Business, Psychology, and Spanish from Cornell College. Jason also has an MBA from Strayer University. In addition, Jason has the following certifications through CompTIA: Server+, A+, Network+, and Security+. Jason is most proud of being a MindSpark Training Academy graduate and passing the ISTQB exam to become a Certified Tester. Jason’s biggest passion outside of work is acting and continues attending acting classes and auditions. Jason’s other interests include hiking, playing piano, singing, and swimming.

  • Kevin

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Kevin is a graduate of California Lutheran University of Thousand Oaks with a Computer Science Degree. He has been with MindSpark for over a year and has worked on a number of different projects which has allowed him to develop valuable software testing skills. He was an Eagle Scout and his interests include hiking, gaming, and reading. He also has some programming experience having been taught Java, and learning C++ on his own.

  • Matthew

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Matthew has been interested in computer applications and how they work for most of his life. But even after taking many computer classes throughout many schools, including Santa Monica College, he wasn’t sure what would really be a good fit for him. After finding out about MindSpark, he now feels like bug testing just might be his spot. Matthew hopes his writing skills and knowledge of computers can be used to their fullest benefiting clients and customers alike. Matthew enjoys reading manga, playing video games, and watching movies.

  • Max

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Max is among the first graduates of the MindSpark Training academy and enjoys working at MindSpark. He particularly enjoys testing the software applications for bugs and writing up bug reports. He is also an avid fan of comic books with his favorite superhero being Captain America. He also enjoys drawing in his spare time. “I enjoy working with my coworkers, the different types of contracts we endeavor, and coming into work and working really hard to the best of my ability.”

  • Michael

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Michael is very passionate about video games. He enjoys everything from open world role playing games to fast-paced competitive action games. Michael has a natural curiosity, which has led to a deep interest in physics and has also contributed to his natural tester intuition, something that is very useful as a QA analyst. He is a very skilled typist, typing well over 100 WPM on the Dvorak keyboard layout. “At Mindspark, I like that there is mutual cooperation between the analysts and the higher-ups. I feel like my opinion is always taken seriously.”

  • Robert

    — Software Testing Analyst

    Robert has earned his BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has worked in the aerospace and engineering fields as a software developer working on user interfaces, 3D computer graphics, and database management systems, and recently as software quality analyst using both manual and automated testing methodologies. In his spare time, Robert enjoys going to musical theater, movies, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and cycling. He also keeps an active blog documenting his experiences and adventures.

  • Gray, Jr.

    — Assistant Treasurer

    Gray has a B.A. degree in Mathematics from Lake Forest College in Illinois and is an experienced Math tutor. He completed the MindSpark Training Academy and has been with the company since the beginning. He is interested in improv and performs at the Westside Comedy theater.

  • Noah

    — IT Specialist

    Noah attended the first MindSpark training academy and handles IT administration for MindSpark. In his spare time, he enjoys all things trains, from models to full-scale, and also tests beta software.  He has two pet bunnies named Q-tip and Bailey.
